There is no greater occasion in the pre-Christmas racing calendar than Newbury's Winter Festival.
The newly extended three-day extravaganza kicks off on Friday 30 November and promises a mouth-watering weekend of top class action and entertainment.
Taking centre stage will be the 51st running of the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup, which has seen such fabled names as Arkle, Mill House and One Man grace its illustrious roll of honour.Other highlights to feature among the three days of top class racing will be the Ballymore Properties Long Distance Hurdle and the Dubai Duty Free Fulke Walwyn Novices' Steeple Chase, a recognised stepping stone for future stars.
As well as enjoying all the thrills and spills of the racing, visitors to the Winter Festival will also be able to indulge in a little retail therapy and pick up some early Christmas presents in the fantastic shopping village.
The attractions don't stop there and racegoers on the Sunday with children will be able to entertain their little one in the specially supervised Kidz Zone and sample some tasty treats in the Local Farmer's Market.
